I go through McDonald’s drive-through nearly every morning. I not a big coffee drinker, but I am picky about the coffee I drink. Being Puertorrican, I have been drinking coffee for a very long time (We like our coffee). I mention this because most people are surprised to hear that I prefer MickeyD’s coffee to Starbucks hands down. But at least when I did frequent Starbucks if I asked for a tall, I got a tall.
The past few months I have been very annoyed with MickeyD’s. It seems that every time I order a latte if I want a small I need to order a medium or if I’m in mood for a medium I need to order a large. Since lately my coffee has been getting lighter and lighter. I would have to say that 8 out of 10 times the coffee is about 1″ to 1½” inches below the rim and sometimes it’s been more. You might say who cares no big deal. If you usually order a large it’s not a big deal, but when you order a medium and especially a small, then it becomes a big deal.
For the past few months I have sort of set it to the side as “whatever, no big deal”. It’s a trade off for getting fast service, because they are fast, which is the second reason I use their drive-through. But now that they have me hooked on their Oatmeal I have noticed the same thing. Coincidently, I have tried other MickeyD’s drive-through and it seems to be an issue in many of them. Is this the price I pay for speed? Or is it the price I pay for using the McDonald’s drive-through? I don’t really know. Bottom line there are more important things to worry about, and this doesn’t even make the list. But I had to get it off my chest and since I do have a blog. Here it is.
Thanks for listening, and have fun!

I’m gald to see that MickeyD’s takes an interest on their customers! That’s really cool!!!
I just spent some time talking to a Member of the McDonald’s Customer Satisfaction Twitter Team @Kty_McD. @Kty_McD I enjoyed talking to you and thank you for taking the time to talk to me (a customer) and understand my problem. I find it really cool that she took the time to get in touch with me and ask about my issues. You could argue that it’s her job to do so , but it’s still nice to be heard. Plus that was quick 🙂 good job!!
