A gentleman does the right thing even if it’s not easy. A gentleman is guided by his conscience rather than by popular opinion. A gentleman knows violence is never the answer to any problem. A gentleman can defend his convictions without stepping on those of others. A gentleman fights for his beliefs but never at the expense of others. A gentleman is tolerant even when he doesn’t understand. A gentleman knows when to speak up, but more importantly he knows when to be quiet. A gentleman knows there is always something to be learned from every situation and is willing to accept he doesn’t always have the answer. A gentleman strives to be a better man, but he never considers himself better than other men. There are many men in the world but few gentlemen. We need more gentlemen and gentlewomen in our world.  I hope to one day be a gentleman.
