Verizon iPhone 4 will have 3G mobile hotspot (update)

It’ll probably be subject to an additional fee as usual, but Verizon and Apple have just revealed that the new CDMA iPhone 4 will act as a mobile WiFi connection for up to five devices. It’ll come with an iOS-specific version of the Verizon 3G Mobile Hotspot that folks have been enjoying on their Droids for many moons now. That should allowing for laptops, tablets and the like to get online via iPhone without a pesky cord, and almost certainly make the long-verboten iPhone – iPad tethering connection finally attainable. Joy to the world!

Update: Verizon called it an app, but getting hands-on we can see that’s not the case at all — Personal Hotspot is built right into the CDMA iPhone 4’s build of iOS 4.2.5. Perhaps we’ll see it migrate to other devices as well?

Verizon’s new iPhone 4

We just spent some time with Verizon’s new iPhone 4 and… well, it’s just like the regular iPhone 4. Aside from compatibility with two additional cellular bands, of course, it includes a personal hotspot feature that allows up to five devices to connect to the iPhone via Wi-Fi and share its data connection. It’s pretty intuitive and easy to use, but there’s no status bar icon to indicate that it’s running — and your hotspot name will be the name given to your iPhone during its initial setup, so be careful. And back to that new antenna configuration, Apple confirmed that the top ones are for GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the bottom ones are for cellular connectivity. Everything else is basically the same, and Apple confirmed to us that battery life is identical to the GSM model. Of note, there are no white iPhones here and unlike the photos that leaked a while back, there is no SIM slot. Also, Verizon’s iphone 4 will ship with iOS 4.2.5. Use Task Manager to Close a window or program you are not sure about

Some virus try to trick you by saying “you’re infected click here to scan your computer” and when you do they infect you and that’s all she wrote. Since it’s easier and less time consuming you usually end up formatting, Resetting, imaging or restoring your system to factory conditions. Either way you almost always end up loosing your data.

So, Please always have a current Backup. Some virus, Hijack or trojans (to name a few) actually change the code of the pop up window, so when you click on the “X” or close button you’re actually saying yes, or they flip the ok and cancel button and it installs itself in the background. So if in doubt use the Task Manger to close suspicious pop up windows.

Everything on the Internet is not safe to view even if you have antivirus software like AVG which is my usual choice since it works well and it’s free, So Use common sense.

But if you do get infected Do not turn of your computer or it will dig itself in your startup process and might never come out, withou formatting, Resetting, imaging or restoring your system to factory conditions. Use malwarbytes, a free program you can use to remove many fake antivirus protection tools such as the my security shield scamor or AV8. Another removal tool and one of my favorite but it requires an internet connection (which alot of these Trojans, Root Kits and/or hijacks usually disable) is Hitman Pro from SurfRight. Download here

The av8 virus, also called the antivirus 8 is a malware that is associated with showing fake system scans and security alerts to entice computer users into purchasing or downloading a non working antivirus protection tool, the av8 antivirus. The Magi also known as Los Tres Reyes Magos

In Christian tradition, the Magi , also referred to as the (Three) Wise Men, (Three) Kings, orKings from the East, are a group of distinguished foreigners who are said to have visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, frankincenseand myrrh. They are regular figures in traditional accounts of the nativity and in celebrations of Christmas.

Holidays celebrating the arrival of the Magi traditionally recognise a distinction between the date of their arrival and the date of Jesus’ birth.

Western Christianity celebrates the Magi on the day of Epiphany, January 6, the day immediately following the twelve days of Christmas, particularly in the Spanish-speaking parts of the world. In these Spanish-speaking areas, the three kings (Sp. “los Reyes Magos de Oriente”, also “Los Tres Reyes Magos” and “Los Reyes Magos”) receive wish letters from children and magically bring them gifts on the night before Epiphany. In Spain, each one of the Magi is supposed to represent one different continent, Europe (Melchior), Asia (Caspar) and Africa (Balthasar). According to the tradition, the Magi come from the Orient on their camels to visit the houses of all the children; much like Santa Claus with his reindeer, they visit everyone in one night. In some areas, children prepare a drink for each of the Magi. It is also traditional to prepare food and drink for the camels, because this is the only night of the year when they eat.

In Spain, Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay there is a long tradition for having the children receive their Christmas presents by the three “Reyes Magos” (the figure of Santa Claus only appeared in recent years) during the night of January 5 (Biblical Magi Eve). Almost every Spanish city or town organize cabalgatas in the evening, in which the kings and their servants parade and throw sweets to the children (and parents) in attendance. The cavalcade of the three kings in Alcoy claims to be the oldest in the world, having started in 1886. There is also a “Roscón” (Spain) or “Rosca de Reyes” (Mexico) as explained below. In Spain in the Biblical Magi Eve is also represented the Mystery Play of the Three Magic Kings.

In Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, children cut grass or greenery on January 5 and put it in a box under their bed. The grass is for the camels. Children receive gifts on January 6, which is called Día de Reyes, and is traditionally the day in which the Magi arrived bearing gifts for the Christ child. Christmas starts in December and ends in January after Epiphany, although in Puerto Rico there are eight more days of celebration (las octavitas).

Golden-Voiced Homeless Man Scores Job Offers After Video Goes Viral

Before this week, the name “Ted Williams” most likely brought to mind the phrase “Teddy Ballgame.” Now, the name has become synonymous with “Golden-voiced,” as a homeless man with that moniker has shot to stardom as a result of his breathtaking vocal chords.

Recently, Columbia Dispatch videographer Doral Chenoweth III filmed a brief interview with the Brooklyn-born Williams, who — until recently — panhandled on the corner of I-71 and Hudson Street in Cleveland.

Yesterday, the video went viral, and has (at the time of this posting) racked up more than 5 million views on YouTube. This ascent is most likely due in no small part to the Reddit community, which took up the cause after Reddit user and Columbus-dweller Sean Dennison (username shiggiddie) posted the video to the site after hearing about the interview on a local radio show.

“I had already seen the immense good the Reddit community is capable of doing,” Dennison says. “I hoped that maybe through the community I might find out who this Ted Williams character is, and how we might be able to help him get on his feet with some work other redditors might want/need for their businesses, etc.”

Why are thousands of dead birds suddenly falling from the sky? This week, 5,000 blackbirds fell from the skies over Arkansas, followed by 500 more in Louisiana. And now its happening in Sweden too. Youve got to wonder what the hell is going on. Well explain. Lets quickly review the facts. Just before midnight on New Years Eve, anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 red-winged blackbirds and starlings fell from the sky within a one-mile area over the town of Beebe, Arkansas. The last few days have also seen a mass fish kill, in which an estimated 100,000 drum fish washed up on a twenty-mile stretch near the town of Ozark, Arkansas, which is about 125 miles away from Beebe.And then, around 500 red-winged blackbirds, starlings, and grackles fell to their deaths over a quarter-mile stretch of highway near Labarre, Louisiana, which is 360 miles from Beebe and 450 from Ozark.
