Man Tries to Sell Six Dead Babies On the Internet

The police have arrested a man for trying to sell six dead babies on the internet. The babies were being sold to be used in witchcraft. The ignorance and cruelty of the human species never ceases to disgust me.According to the Bangkok Post, a 28-year-old Taiwanese citizen named Chou Hong Hun had the babies with him in a hotel room located in Bangkoks Chinatown. Thai police stormed into the room to arrest him after being alerted by an informant.The police didnt say where the man got the babies, but the arrested man confessed that he bought them for 200,000 baht $6.600 on behalf of another Taiwanese man.

The Solar Power Eye Implant Which Restores Sight

Electronic implants which restore sight to the blind arent anything new, but one of their major stumbling blocks has been the need for an external power source. Now, thats about to change, because a team of researchers has built a digital implant out of infrared-slurping photovoltaic pixels—so it can power itself.Digital eye implants are designed to replace the light-sensing receptors on the retina, which become damaged by diseases such as such as age-related macular degeneration and retinal pigmentosa, eventually causing blindness. The implants usually take the form of miniature CCD arrays, just like those found in digital cameras, which can be wired into the optic nerve to provide a sensation similar to that of real sight.
