If You Swallow an SD Card with Illicit Photos, the Cops Will Know

Earlier this month, a 55 year-old junior high school teacher allegedly took pictures up a young womans skirt at an anime shop in Osakas geek district, Den Den Town. The teacher, Manabu Wakita, admitted that he was following a 20-something woman around, but “absolutely” denied that he took illicit photos of her with a small-sized camera. Staff at the anime shop Animate reportedly noticed something suspicious and called out to the middle-aged man.According to reports, Wakita then supposedly put his cameras SD Card in his mouth, where it made a “crunching” noise.Police announced that part of the SD Card has since been discovered in Wakitas body some Japanese blogs are reporting that they found it in his, ahem, poop. On the recovered card, officers apparently discovered the peeping pictures in question and arrested Wakita.Bet the prison food tastes better than SD Cards.

Skinny Jeans Are Bad For Your Health

They might be a staple of the well-dressed geek’s wardrobe, but skinny jeans aren’t doing you any favors. In fact, they might be causing you real, physical damage.

ABC recently interviewed Dr. Karen Boyle from Greater Baltimore Medical Center, who has recently seen cases of women suffering pain from wearing tight jeans. She explains:

“This disorder is called Miralsha Parasthetica and it’s a disorder that occurs when one of the nerves that runs in the outer part of a thigh gets compressed. The pressure on it causes symptoms of tingling, numbness and pain in the outer part of the thigh.”

According to Boyle, sufferers report a floating sensation—basically, because they can’t feel their lower legs—along with pain in the thighs. Ouch. Unfortunately for women, the problem can be exacerbated by high heels, which cause the pelvis to tilt, increasing the pressure on the nerves in question.

Social Bicycles announces availability by end of summer, we go hands-on (video) — Engadget

When last saw the Social Bicycles (SoBi), there wasn’t a heck of a lot to report on. The whole thing was little more than a concept, a Kickstarter page and an early prototype. Flash forward just under a year later, and it’s beginning to look a lot like a real, consumer-facing product. The New York startup showed off its bike and a couple of apps today at TechCrunch Disrupt. The concept here is not too dissimilar from a Zipcar — you locate a bike using the Android or iOS app, find it on the street, enter your PIN, pull out the lock and you’re good to go.

If you’re feeling particularly enterprising, you can can pick up bikes to rent up for $1,300 a piece, if you order less than 50 or $1,100 per, if you go for more. The wireless data, meanwhile, runs $15 per bike, per month. The company has both consumer and business-facing apps. On the administrative side of things, you can track the bikes and set boundaries for return. Incentive programs are set up, giving customers credits, should they do something like get a bike from outside a designated hub and return it to one.

Microsoft Office — iPad, Android tablet version to launch in November

BGR has learned from a reliable source that Microsoft is currently planning to release the company’s full Office suite for not only Apple’s iPad, but for Android tablets as well. The company is targeting November of this year for both launches. Additionally, our source has seen Microsoft Office running on an iPad first-hand and has said that it looks almost identical to the previous leak from The Daily a few months back, despite the fact that Microsoft flat out denied that the app was authentic. It is also plausible that Microsoft Office will be coming to the iPhone and iPod touch rather than only the iPad, as we’re told the loading screen in the app clearly said “Office for iOS” and not just iPad.

Real-Life Tony Stark Turns His Broken Down Car Into a Motorcycle To Escape the Desert

Real-Life Tony Stark Turns His Broken Down Car Into a Motorcycle To Escape the Desert

He might not have Tony Starks vast wealth, but Emile Leray seems like hes just as skilled a mechanic as Stark was when the chips are down. After his Citroen 2CV broke down in the desert, he spent twelve days rebuilding it into a working motorcycle so he could make his escape. And you though calling AAA made you feel like a hero.As the story goes, the Frenchman was driving through the desert in northwest Africa when he hit a military roadblock preventing him from continuing due to some conflicts in the area. But instead of heeding the advice of the armed guards, Emile decided to loop around the roadblock through the desert, where his Citroen hit a rock—breaking a swing arm and a frame beam, and basically putting it out of commission.

New York Legislation Would Ban Anonymous Online Speech

Did you hear the one about the New York state lawmakers who forgot about the First Amendment in the name of combating cyberbullying and “baseless political attacks”?Proposed legislation in both chambers would require New York-based websites, such as blogs and newspapers, to “remove any comments posted on his or her website by an anonymous poster unless such anonymous poster agrees to attach his or her name to the post.”No votes on the measures have been taken. But unless the First Amendment is repealed, they stand no chance of surviving any constitutional scrutiny even if they were approved.

Sidecar comes out of beta, reinvents phone calls — Engadget

Smartphones have revolutionized how we communicate and the way we create, share and consume content. Yet there’s one aspect of using these devices that remains stuck in the last millennium, and that’s the calling experience — yes, apparently some people still make phone calls. Sure, there are plenty of VoIP and video calling apps out there, but few are simple and beautiful.

Enter Sidecar, a free app which aims to reinvent the way we make phone calls by adding messaging as well as real-time video, photo, location and contact sharing to that antiquated calling experience. It achieves this through an intuitive and polished user interface plus a handful of standards such as SIP and XMPP. Phone calls between Sidecar users are free anywhere in the world — the app even supports free WiFi calling to any number in the US or Canada.

Mom Embarrasses Daughter So Hard on Facebook She Begs for a Spanking Instead

You know when you were a kid and you did some dumb kid thing, and as punishment your mom dragged you in front of your friends to embarrass you? Just be glad the internet wasnt around back then, or youd be begging for a butt-whoopin instead of digital ignominy, like this 12-year-old troublemaker.ReShonda Tate Billingsley caught her 12-year-old daughter posing with a bottle of vodka in an Instagram photo, with the caption “I sure wish I could drink this!” Unfortunate, obviously. So ReShonda, obviously wise to how reputation and value allotment work to tweenage brats, decided to make her daughter post with the above photo and post it to her Facebook page. Her daughter was mortified, of course. “She actually asked for a spanking instead; she begged for a spanking,” Billingsley said.

Backwards Evolution | Essa Alroc

Check out this blog post from; Backwards Evolution | Essa Alroc.

The US census, for the first time ever, has announced that minority births are higher than non minority births. I did some research on the matter and have determined that it is all because of this guy.

Desmond Hatchett, of Knoxville, TN, has a staggering 30 children with 11 different women. This year alone, he added four more to his brood. This busy little beaver is seeking the states help in reducing his child support payments. He is currently required to take 50% of the earning from his minimum wage job and split it among the mothers of his 30 children. Some of the mothers get payments as low as $1.47 a month.

Hey Hatchett, you want some help? Get a friggen vasectomy! NO ONE can reasonably support 30 children. Stop making them. In fact, I’m seriously considering setting up a donation site so people can scrape together the whopping $500 it’s going to take for you to stop spreading your idiot DNA around… Read more by clicking below
