Sensu Artist Brush & Stylus for iPad and Touch Screen Devices
Sensu is two very useful tools in one. A brush and a stylus for capacitive devices like the iPad and iPhone. The rubber stylus is exposed when the brush is closed. This stylus is great for sketching and writing or as a general navigation tool. Grasp Sensu near the nib section and pull it out of the protective cap. You will reveal the capacitive bristles of the artist brush. Insert the rubber stylus into the cap and the cap becomes a handle for your brush.

App-Enhanced Pavement Turns Roads Into Wireless Hotspots
A Spanish company called Vía Inteligente has created a unique smart paving stone with a built-in computer as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They’re designed as an easy way to provide wireless access to various services without the need for a hotspot or an ugly antenna, but it also has the potential to easily create an expansive wireless network in urban areas. The unfortunately-named iPavement stones can be installed in high traffic areas since they’re as durable as regular concrete blocks. They can even be driven over without affecting their functionality. But instead of working together as a way to create a wireless network covering a large city, the blocks are enhanced with various apps letting them serve as sort of multi-service hotspot for anyone in range.

Idiot Steals Gas from Cop Car, Posts Picture on Facebook, Goes Directly to Jail
This is Michael Baker. Michael is 20 years old, lives in Kentucky, and likes The Bucket List on Facebook. I know these things because Michael has not activated his Facebook privacy settings, which is something thats recommended in most cases but absolutely essential if youre going to post pictures of yourself stealing gas from a cop car on your wall. The theft occurred last month, according to The Smoking Gun; thats when Baker raised his middle finger at his girlfriends camera while slurping up gas from a Jenkins City police cruiser. He was arraigned yesterday in Letcher County District Court.

Hotel lobby hosts the worlds largest cylindrical aquarium | DVICE
![]()
Ive stayed in some pretty swank hotels where you can sit serenely in an oh-so-chic lobby and enjoy people watching. Thats nothing compared to this hotel in Berlin that offers guests the chance to sit serenely in their lobby looking at their spectacular aquarium filled with over 1,500 tropical fish.A lobby/atrium with the worlds largest cylindrical aquarium with over 260,000 gallons of water, 56 species of tropical fish and a mini reef as a base pretty much punks every other hotel lobby Ive seen. The Aquadom is located in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin, which is conveniently right next door to the Sea Life Berlin Aquarium. The Aquarium manages the Aquadom — and even has two full time scuba divers in the tank caring for the fish and their habitat. While hotel guests cant scuba dive in the tank they do have multiple ways to enjoy it. In addition to the view from the ground, visitors can ride an elevator up the center of the tube to a viewing platform located at just under the hotels glass roof.

Happly For iPad Helps Curious Kids Discover The Web…Safely | TechCrunch
iPad guilt? There needs to be a technical term for that feeling in the pit of a parent’s stomach that arises from handing over the iPad to their kids, only to watch them play brain rotting Outfit7 games or level after level of Angry Birds. Fortunately, some startups are focusing on developing more educational content for the iPad to help parents assuage some of their guilt over their kids’ ever-increasing screen time. One such company is Daily Interactive, which is now launching Happly for iPad, a collection of original and curated content for kids, including online videos, games, and stories. And while the content may be deemed educational, the kids might not realize it, given the app’s focus on topics kids love to explore, like dinosaurs, space, sports, animals, how to’s and more. The company was created by Brian Monnin and Greg Harris, who met back in the 90′s launching and developing interactive products for MSNBC.com. They later co-founded MetaStories, which was sold to Brightcove back in 2005. Harris was the creative director of MSNBC.com and, most recently, NationalGeographic.com, where he was in charge of the redesign of all their digital properties. In other words, these two know a thing or two about creating digital content. But their motives for developing Happly were more personal ones. Explains Monnin, “I created Happly so that my wife Janine and I could get a better handle on filtering out websites and videos that we wouldn’t want our boys ages 5 and 9 stumbling into. The iPad is clearly a great addition to our home but we’ve had our share of not-so-cool experiences with connected devices, too.”

7 Rules for Recording Police
Last week the City of Boston agreed to pay Simon Glik $170,000 in damages and legal fees to settle a civil rights lawsuit stemming from his 2007 felony arrest for videotaping police roughing up a suspect. Prior to the settlement, the First Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled that Glik had a “constitutionally protected right to videotape police carrying out their duties in public.” The Boston Police Department now explicitly instructs its officers not to arrest citizens openly recording them in public.Slowly but surely the courts are recognizing that recording on-duty police is a protected First Amendment activity. But in the meantime, police around the country continue to intimidate and arrest citizens for doing just that. So if youre an aspiring cop watcher you must be uniquely prepared to deal with hostile cops.If you choose to record the police you can reduce the risk of terrible legal consequences and video loss by understanding your states laws and carefully adhering to the following rules.
