Harken back to the summer months when Google unveiled its Swiffy conversion tool that turns those aging SWF files into browser friendly HTML5 animations. Now the folks in Mountain View have created an extension for the Flash desktop app that allows you to export your working files to something a little more up to date with a single click — or a combination of keystrokes for you pros. We happen to think the future of the car dashboard is a gradual path to obsolescence, dying and getting replaced by a mobile device. Visteon also think theres a future for mobile devices in a dash — but not for actually replacing the car stereo. Visteon showed off its Consumer Electronics Device to Vehicle HMI human/machine interface, which is basically a stupidly long name for a system enabling device integration of the sort we havent seen yet. Yes, you can stream tunes through the cars stereo but, more impressively, actually change the channel that it is tuned to.
