This is perfectly even mix of completely adorable and completely frightening. Adorable, because, well, its a baby being cute and infantile. Frightening because her mushy baby brains already been transformed by an iPad.As the videos anonymous creator notes, for this 1-year-old girl, “A Magazine Is an iPad That Does Not Work.” She tries to pinch, tap, and zoom paper pages. And why not? If youre exposed to a tablet interface that works as effortlessly as the iPad, why wouldnt you expect the same from the real world? And thats just it—an entire generation of human beings will grow up with touch interfaces, and screens of all kinds, as the real world. Whats paper to a screen, when you know nothing else? Defective. iCloud Control Panel for Windows now available | TiPb

Apple has released its iCloud Control Panel app for Microsoft Windows computers. The iCloud Control Panel is required to enable iCloud on your Windows PC and provides access to Photo Stream, Contacts, Calendars Bookmarks and Mail.

This Hubcap-Like Contraption Could Be The Future Of Space Travel (Or Not)

The idea of a rogue, genius inventor working outside the confines of a government or corporate lab, creating a new technology that could potentially change the world, is certainly tantalizing. Who knows: Guido Fetta could be the next Tesla, and his QDrive could very well revolutionize space travel. Or it could be an idea lacking a sound scientific basis.

What looks like nothing more than a hubcap retrieved from the side of the road, is supposedly the secret to what makes the QDrive engine produce large quantities of thrust, with a minimal amount of input energy. The scientific theories, principles and formulas behind how it works are outlined on the Cannae LLC website. And I encourage you to spend as much time as you need pouring through the abstracts and documents to grasp the concept.

If youve got an iPhone 3GS, 4, third- or fourth-gen iPod touch, or either of the iPads you can download Apples latest and greatest mobile OS right now. Thats right, all the fun new features like pull-down notifications, iCloud, iMessage, Find my Friends, Twitter integration and lock screen access to your camera will be at your disposal. Sadly you will not be getting a taste of Siri, which appears to a 4S only feature for now. Still, theres more than enough here to make it a worthy upgrade to your device. Reviewing the iPhone 4S is in many ways a lot like reviewing the original iPhone 4, except that it’s not. The device, which was just announced at a special event on Apple’s campus, is very much the same phone the company released in June of 2010 — but it’s also something completely new.While much of that sameness comes from an identical physical appearance, and nearly identical specs in some places, there’s much that’s fresh here. Besides packing the successor to Apple’s custom A4 CPU appropriately dubbed the A5 inside, the iPhone 4S also sports an upgraded rear camera, an improved antenna design, and a new internal radio that allows the device to perform double duty on both CDMA and GSM networks.In reality, however, the hardware is only half the story. Maybe not even half. The introduction of the iPhone 4S marks the introduction of iOS 5 as well. The new operating system is loaded with big improvements, from notifications to how your device connects to your computer. Packed with major features like iCloud integration and an innovative, voice-activated “intelligent assistant” named Siri, it’s not unfair to consider this one of the most meaningful updates to iOS we’ve ever seen.For a phone that’s already being touted as one of Apple’s fastest-sellers, it’s hard to even suggest that the iPhone 4S won’t be a success. But beyond pure market excitement, is there enough in this new device to stand up to a steady wave of competition — some which is awfully fierce? Sony locks 93,000 PSN and SOE accounts due to massive hack attempt — Engadget

Sonys not having a good morning. In addition to having to recall 1.6 million Bravia TVs, its also been forced to temporarily lock 93,000 customers out of their PSN and Sony Online Entertainment accounts. You wont be surprised by the reason: an attempt by hackers to “test a massive set of sign-in IDs and passwords” against Sonys network database. Some of the affected accounts showed “additional activity prior to being locked” and are being investigated. On the flip-side, Sonys Chief Information Security Officer, Philip Reitinger, stressed that most of the hackers details resulted in failed logins and in any case credit card details are not at risk. Users are being told to expect an email if theyve been affected, which will contain further instructions. Has Sony finally realized the value of timely communication?

How Can You Get a Fresh iPad for $100

I love my iPad. Its the original model, bought on April 3, 2010. Its been working perfectly since then but the battery life was really bad, lasting only a couple of hours lately. It was exhausted. I had to replace it.In the process, I got a fresh iPad 64GB at the Apple Store for just $100. The good news, you can get one too. After so many charging cycles, my original iPads battery was exhausted. It took forever to recharge and only a few hours to completely run out. I remember the days when I first got it. I could use it normally for a couple of days, watching at least two Netflix movies on it or browsing the web, running some apps and reading comic books.I went to the Apple Store to ask for a battery replacement. But, as it turns out, you cant replace an iPads battery. As the guy at the Apple Stores Genius Bar told me: “See? They dont have screws. We cant replace the battery.”
